<p>Combining single- or multi-band RF signals, adjusting RF power levels and providing monitor ports for fiber DAS systems, all available in one tray: Microlab’s DCC Series&trade; DAS Carrier Conditioners.</p>
<p>Both, Passive DAS systems and Fiber DAS systems are used in indoor venues and outdoor installations. DAS Systems improve coverage and optimize network capacity. If it is about combining multiple sectors of one carrier to increase capacity, or combining multiple carriers in a neutral-host system, Microlab’s DAS Carrier Conditioners are the answer. Microlab’s DCC Series<sup>®</sup> range from simple signal combinations to sophisticated solutions with settable power levels and monitor ports. These systems are available in 19” rack mount systems for inside installations or in protected enclosures that provide IP66 / NEMA 4 protection.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong><a name=”conditioning”><strong></strong></a>Combining and Conditioning<br>
</strong>Fiber DAS systems operate with certain input signal strength, usually 0dBm. Macro, micro or pico cells deliver much higher levels. To ensure that the fiber converter input is not distorted or even damaged, incoming Tx signals have to be attenuated.&nbsp; Furthermore, if the DAS deployment has to handle multiple carriers, our DAS Carrier Conditioners combine incoming frequency bands and equalize different power levels.&nbsp;

<p>Designed to interface four Tx/Rx signal blocks with a fiber system, the DAS Carrier Conditioners allow independent level adjustment of both, Tx and Rx signal paths. The units duplex each of the Tx/Rx inputs. Tx outputs are combined using a 4:1 Hybrid Combiner. The combined Tx signal is then attenuated by a fixed low PIM attenuator. The next step is a variable 0-30 dB attenuator for level adjustment to achieve optimum DAS performance. The DAS Rx signal is fed to a similar level adjustment stage, before being split into 6, with 4 to the Duplexers and 2 Rx to location monitoring ports. Many other variations are available.</p>
<p>Microlab’s DCC Series<sup>®</sup> DAS Carrier Conditioners offer solutions for: combining various bands and equalizing dissimilar RF signal levels. Our DCC’s are available in standard configuration or tailored to any particular RF requirement.</p>

</strong>Microlab offers also a wide variety of combining-only DCC solutions for In-Building Distributed Antenna Systems. Available bands range from 380 MHz to 6GHz, including public service channels and Tetra usually in the range from 380 to 520 MHz, cellular services extending from LTE 700 to WiMAX/LTE-2600.

<p>Microlab’s broad range of catalog diplexers and hybrids allow rapid creation of special configurations to suit customer needs, whether in-building, on trains, in tunnels, in hospitals, and other venues. </p>
<p>To simplify ordering, Microlab offers a variety of standard DAS Carrier Conditioner designs, for example 4 low band and 4 high band inputs combined to 4 identical outputs. Our designs come with very low loss specifications, greatly simplifying the task of optimizing the loss budget.</p>

<p>Microlab’s DCC Series<sup>®</sup> also offers DAS Carrier Conditioners for outdoor deployments. All internal modules are embedded in a NEMA 4 / IP 66 rated enclosure. This ensures the integrity of the RF performance even under harsh environmental conditions that prevail in outdoor deployments like stadiums, airports, stations, exhibition and concert halls or simply outside small cell coverage areas. The unit can be pole mounted and the housing allows modifications to accommodate other mounting options.&nbsp;</p>
<p>A typical design provides interfacing with 2 separate duplex Radio Base Station (RBS) signal feeds to the DAS.&nbsp; The duplex signals from the RBS are separated into individual Tx/RX paths where they can be individually set to optimize power levels at the point of interface. The attenuation range for all paths is 0-30dB. Other designs are available upon request. </p>
