Signal Tappers: Use and Advantages
Microlab’s signal tapper unevenly splits high power cellular signals in fixed ratios from 1000:1 to 2:1 with minimal reflections or loss over the wireless bands in the range 380 – 2,700 MHz. Signal tappers work similarly to directional couplers but without the directivity. Tappers are frequently used in distributed antenna systems (DAS) and are available with either N or 7-16 mm DIN connectors. This video presentation covers the details of Microlab Signal Tappers, including benefits and also comparison with directional couplers.
